Living Well Conference, The Living Well Conference, a joint endeavor of the Southeastern Wisconsin Area Agency on Aging and Catholic Charities, is an annual gathering aimed at educating and energizing older adults to live fuller lives. This conference is a merging of SEWAAA’s Elder Issues Conference and Catholic Charities’ Lifelong Adult Wellness Conference.

This one-day event is the only regional aging conference geared specifically to equip older adults residing in Southeastern Wisconsin with knowledge of critical issues and resources; to actively engage understanding of the balance of “health wholeness” throughout the aging process. The format is interactive and informative consisting of exceptional keynote presentations, dynamic breakout sessions, preventative health screenings, and comprehensive exhibitors.

“Envision the Possibilities” is the theme for our Annual conference on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Country Springs Hotel in Waukesha. Only $20 to register, which includes continental breakfast, fabulous lunch, giveaways…and much more!

Our keynote speakers are Dr. Harold G. Koenig, founding co-director of the Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Koenig will be discussing Spirituality & Health in later life. Dr. Elizabeth Edgerly, Chief Program Officer & National Maintain Your Brain Spokesperson for the Alzheimer’s Association of Northern California and Northern Nevada Chapter.  Dr. Edgerly will be discussing strategies and the latest research towards maintaining a healthy brain.
